The Basics of How to Use Status to Attract Women Using Niche Theory

This is an article inspired by one of the forum posts made by one of my friends about Status.

My good old friend was a real PUA community guy who was really involved way back when I was still getting started with coaching. He’s been around the block and if you read his forum post below you can tell he’s pretty much had enough of the crap himself. He’s definitely seen it all so if you know these PUA “gurus” only through the internet you may want to think twice about what happens in reality. Over here we have an entire community of guys who make our stuff work every breathing moment of every day.

What lifestyle Attracts Girls?

FYI when he talked about “gurus” he wasn’t talking about me or the 24/7 Guys. He lives in LA and has been really well connected in the PUA Scene, seeing almost every guru there operate. Glad he noticed what I noticed a few years back!

Thing is, there’s a lot of truth in what he said: Status Works Well with Attracting Women. Yes Status is one thing that naturally attracts women. Let me add to that:

STATUS works incredibly well in a NICHE

A Niche is any community or social institution that has leaders and followers: whether its the salsa scene, the Vegas partying scene, your local church group, and of course school.

The psychology behind this is social proof - if more than a couple of people say someone’s cool or attractive, whether its true or not, everyone comes to accept that as well. Anyone who’s had girls in high school know the importance of status. An Old School Tactic that I’ll be sharing on COC 17 is how to spread buzz about yourself to women, and that’s one of the sneaky ways to build status.

Status also is a filter for women to avoid the loser types or archetypes. In every social institution there is always a loser archetype – the bottom of the barrel person no woman wants to associate with. This is relative. You could be the smartest computer whiz in Silicon Valley where the secretary or the intern wants to bang your brains out, but walk into a club and automatically you’re the nerdy guy who can’t dance.

It doesn’t mean that you’re a loser, its just that you’ve failed to look into the fact that this is relative: In the computer programming crowd maybe the loser archetype is the guy who doesn’t take a shower, is incredibly lazy, and still can’t program for shit. In the club scene a guy who looks like he just walked out of the office, can’t mack on chicks, and stands there as the loser archetype.

So, its really your call. If you want to dominate a niche or social institution, the first step is to try to fit in and involve yourself in that community. The great thing about Niche theory is that ultimately you can choose where you want to be. Sure it takes some form of work, but you’ll get the types of girls you want because you’ve used status as a tool within the world they live in.

But hey let’s not get ahead of ourselves, let’s start with the BASICS

In every “niche” there are universal basics you must follow if you want to start fitting in, and that is,

1) At least have SOME knowledge of that niche – common terminologies, concepts, and cultural bits shared within that community.

2) At least be presentable and look the part. Grooming is number one versus style in the beginning

3) At least show up on the socializing events twice a week, and

4) Make at least 2 new friends on that niche every social event

Once you’re in, see what the “status” guys are doing in that niche. Are they better because they have skill? Because they have the most friends? Because they’re the most interesting or most good looking? It’s different in every niche. In the club scene for example, the winning archetype is the one with the most top-level contacts and friends, as well as being a regular at the venue and being heavily involved in the activities of that niche.

Here’s how you step up your Niche game from the basics:

1) Be a regular and come as many times as possible – the more you become familiar to everybody the better. Be good with names, and jot down little details, like “Kitty – club owner – dog named Sinbad.” These are some of the secrets of social butterflies, they take down notes.

2) Make contacts and friends, and make sure you get some top-level and lower level ones as well, from the Club owner to the DJ down to the Bartenders and even the valet guy who parks your car.

3) Involve yourself in many other activities of the niche – say if there’s a business mixer, latin dancing night, or a charity run. Do it. It will show them you’re involved and will up your status dramatically. In most niches it’s all about giving and taking. Usually the takers get eliminated from the core group. I guess that works with anything.

Do this over a couple of months, and your status will get you WAY past the front door.
